What I'm up to right now
I currently work at Google Cloud as a Customer Engineer in Austin TX, helping startup businesses across North America succeed in the cloud with our Infrastructure, Security, Data, and AI Products. This involves a lot of product demonstrations, proof of concept implementations, and supporting our customers as they build new applications with our amazing tools or move their existing ones to Google. Current areas of interest
Lately I've been diving into financial technology products and companies. Personal and SMB finance has always been an area of interest for me, and there's been a huge boom of technology companies offering innovative banking and financing products lately. Patio11's blog "Bits About Money" and @maiab's Fintech Book Club have been really awesome entry points into learning about the space. Companies I'm following in the area include @Stripe, @Square, @Klarna, @PointCardHQ, @Extracard, and @JoinDaylight.
What I'm listening to
Lately, I've been super into hyperpop, funk, and happy hardcore music! I'm a sucker for anything that's upbeat and happy (or sounds remotely like Owl City, I have full playlists of music by what my friends call Owl City clones). Shoot me a DM, I'd love to exchange Spotify playlists and talk music!
I've been missing singing during this break, and will definitely be looking to join a music group of some kind when I get settled back into Austin.
